Seahawks ‘should have lost’ to Falcons 1622
The Seattle Seahawks came out on top in the AFC West on Sunday.
The Seahawks were able to secure their fourth consecutive win over the Atlanta Falcons and clinch a berth in the NFC Championship Game with a 31-28 victory at CenturyLink Field.
Seattle’s defense forced nine turnovers while quarterback Russell Wilson led the Seahawks to a 28-10 win in the regular season.
The victory moved the Seahawks’ win total to a record 13-2.
Atlanta’s defense gave up just 14 points.
The Falcons were without Julio Jones (foot), Nick Perry (ankle), and Keanu Neal (knee).
This was the first time the Seahawks had lost in the divisional round since their 2013 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Russell Wilson was 1 of 2 for 35 yards and one touchdown.
Wilson completed 13 of his 24 passes for 171 yards.
This was also the first game in the NFL for Wilson in which he completed over 80 percent of his passes for 400 yards.
